For the Child Foster Care Programme

The For the Child Foster Care Programme is a private foster care programme which is executed by Family Life Ministries in partnership with the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) and Nairn Family Homes, Canada.

For the Child is an affiliate of the National Foster Care Programme operated by the CPFSA, which has responsibility for children in State care.

The programme is the first privately run foster care programme in Jamaica and was inspired by the need to provide loving families for children who are being raised in state-run institutions (children’s homes).

Foster parents

Would you like to become a foster parent with For the Child?

You could if you are:

A married Christian couple, with or without children of your own and want to share with a child in need
A single Christian female who desires to share in the ministry of childrearing
A Christian whose children have grown out of the home and would like to raise more children
A Christian who wants to use your time and resources to care for a child

*All foster care applicants must reside in Jamaica.
