Our volunteers keep our engine going. They offer their time and expertise in several areas of programme implementation. 

You can volunteer to become a Foster Care Ambassador,  participate at an event, or offer your time or skills to assist with planned projects.  

A Foster Care Ambassador is someone who has made the commitment to build awareness of the FTC Programme and encourage Christians to foster children. As an Ambassador you:

• Pray for children in state institutions and programs such as FTC, as well as CPFSA efforts to care for and protect children.
• Present yourself to your church family as a resource person who can answer questions about the foster care system and the FTC ministry. Start with meeting with your leaders/pastor to give feedback from Ambassador sessions and meetings. SUPPORT IS OFFERED BY OUR MORE EXPERIENCED AMBASSADORS FOR THIS ACTIVITY.
• Place announcements in your church bulletin/newsletter, letting people know how they can contact you or FLM for information about the foster care programme and ways to serve children in foster care.
• Make yourself visible and available so you can answer questions about children in foster care. Participate in appropriate small group meetings to share your mission.
• Target the church’s Children’s Ministry (if one exists) to promote foster care through sermons, fairs, drama, music, poetry and so on at church.
• Connect with foster parents and adoptive parents in your church. Learn about their needs and discover how your church can provide support.
• Stay up to date on current foster care related issues and look for ways to communicate them to your congregation (newsletters, church bulletins, emails, etc.)
• There are numerous other opportunities to volunteer. Skills in videography, creating brochures and newsletters, administration, photography, graphic design, tutoring, and many more are always welcome!
